DESCRIPTION |
| | RED EYED LEGENDS The high I feel When I am low Label : GSL Records Year : 2004 Format : 12in Style : Punk / Metal Availability : Out of stock
| | | | Description : | THE RED EYED LEGENDS is fronted by vocalist Chris Thomson (formerly of CIRCUS LUPUS, MONORCHID, and SKULL CONTROL fame/disdain), relocated to the midwest, having brought his lack of rhythm, psychic abilities, explorer guitar, and approximately 230 words with him. Looking for alien encounters, Thomson quickly makes musical allies with Denekas (guitar), Dummeldinger (bass), and Higgins (percussion). Jason Dummeldinger (ex-CINCO DE GATOS and SILVERBACK), a back-in-the-day Southern Studios employee-gone-bassist brings his magic fingers (no pick) and love of old time punk rock to the equation. Enter stage right, all the way from Omaha, NE... Paul Higgins (ex-EVIL THREE), who flawlessly navigates THE 'LEGENDS through a rough and chaotic rhythmic terrain with percussion skills honed by years spent in jazz quartets. Also from Omaha, but more commonly associated with Chicago, Steven Denekas (ex-ENTERTAINMENT and COUNTDOWN) channels his bass and keyboard wizardry into his guitar, making THE RED EYED LEGENDS sound like something you would expect but at the same time, not really. Description in one sentence: Waved-out punk meets art damage in the parking lot of a heavy metal show with the treble cranked.
