| Description : | Avec ce cinquième album les Shunatao montrent une fois de plus que l’on peut faire de la pop intelligente sans se soucier des courants et des sons à la mode. Avec leur manière unique d’envoyer des clins d’œil, de piocher à droite et à gauche du bon goût ils arrivent à captiver l’auditeur en lui demandant parfois un effort considérable pour suivre les lignes mélodiques souvent bien cachées sous plusieurs couches d’arrangements de cuivres (sax ténor et bariton, trompette) ou violons, des tonnes de guitares (tantôt acoustiques voire country, tantôt électriques, surf, blues, grunge. On les a comparés à Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Deus, Sun City Girls et j’en passe. Les Shunatao n’ont pas besoin d’avoir peur de ces comparaisons. | |
