DESCRIPTION |
| | RAPTURE, THE Chair that squeaks Label : GSL Records Year : 2000 Format : 7in Style : Rock Availability : Out of stock
| | | | Description : | The Chair That Squeaks was the debut release from THE RAPTURE, recorded after their Mirror LP/CD on Gravity, but released prior to it. Originally issued on Hymnal Sound in '98, the single is made available once again through GSL, with all-new jacket art. On this recording, bass duties are handled by Brooks Bonstin (SCENIC VERMONT, THE SPORES) who also played on the Mirror recordings. 'The Chair That Squeaks' is a great non-LP track that was a staple of THE RAPTURE's early live show and is a fine example of the band's characteristic buzzing prog-punk, reminiscent of clear influences like THE CURE, GANG OF FOUR and TELEVISION.
