DESCRIPTION |
| | V/A Riis / Lysemore / Agha : Slowbop Label : Signals Year : 2005 Format : CD Style : Jazz / Experimental Availability : In stock
Price : 13.50 € - BUY
| | | | Description : | The first album from the trio Rasmus Riis / Kasper Lysemose / Brian Agha, Enter, was released in the summer 2003. Now the trio has finished the long-awaited follow-up album Slowbop. Since the debut album the trio has refined their sound and on Slowbop they take the unique lyrical expression from Enter in new and more radical directions. On Slowbop the trio experiments with new forms, both with regard to improvisation and composition (most of the tracks on Slowbop are based on sketches). The contrasts are more extreme than before on this album that consists of part studio recordings and part live recordings from Copenhagen JazzHouse. The trio has invited guests Claus Hojensgard (trumpet) and Albert Raft (tenor sax) to play on the title track.
Recorded at Copenhagen Jazzhouse on february 24, 2005 and at Subitomega studio on july 31, 2005 by Magnus Hohler.
Mixed and mastered by Magnus Hohler.
Produced by Rasmus Riis.
