| Description : | Les Yeux de la Tête is a instrumental rock trio involving bass, drums and saxophones, born in 1998 in Caen, Normandy. The repertoire has been
evolving from tweaked covers (Zappa, Stravinsky, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Piazzola ... basically just about anything and everything) and original
material influenced mainly by alternative rock. A blend which has been fascinating jazz and rock audiences alike, willing to discover iconoclastic
and surprising music. Nerf, their new album, is a co-release involving rock label Head Records and jazz label Rude Awakening and will be released in
June 2010. This time the music goes deeper into noisy and groovy bass-lines with heavy and epileptic drumming and breathless angry saxophone. You still
can hear the influences of the Melvins, the Locust, Jesus Lizard, Fantomas, No Means No, Sabot, Zorn, Zappa, amongst many others. | |
