| | | | Description : | Well, this is one of my discoveries of the year. They play nothing less than a solid kind of stoner rock mixed with the dirtiest, loudest and heaviest vibes you know from the 70's. And before you figure out what's going on with these French musicians, I have to say that music speaks for itself, and this is full of excellent heavy guitar riffs rooted in savage melodies, stinky beer and burning notes. I really liked the crude sound of guitars, which sound incisive, crispy and melodic at the same time. Indeed, the entire album has a very organic production (I loved the REAL sound of all instrumentation) and in my opinion, they really know who to sound great with organic functionality, without falling into clichés or 'garage' exaggerations. Also, they have a high level of 'free style composition', and they deliver good songs from simplistic and effective guitar riffs. The track 'Witch song' is a good proof of it. They included heavy sounds of the guitar into a killer drum base, and everything it tied with consistent vocals rooted into rock music at its purest form. I mean solid rock music like granite. As aforementioned, this is a great album coming from French underground scene, and you should support this kind of bands by buying their stuff. This album comes with a cover version of 'Nights in White Satin', original from The Moody Blues. – Victor Varas (zombie ritual zine)
