| Description : | Gulasz z Serc is a project that has been in the making since the band's attempt to reactivate in 2000. It is a musical story interwoven with improvisations and melodeclamations. The topics discussed are related to relationships between people. The loneliness of a sensitive person in a world enslaved by bureaucracy and so-called political correctness is exaggerated. The voice is sarcastically enriched with an aristocratic 'r'. The music is performed on electronically processed percussion instruments and keyboards. All instruments and microphones are passed through stereophonic guitar effects. One of the keyboards is specially designed for playing with drumsticks. The most interesting instrument is something between a trigger and a contact microphone. It is a specially rebuilt electronic children's drum kit. Its pads are attached directly to the drum hoops. The strike or vibrations of the head are triggered by samples obtained via the Midi system directly from the mini keyboard through the pads. Thus, there is a possibility of mixing the sounds of acoustic percussion with, for example, a wind instrument in unison. The title of the album is to suggest abandoning feelings and things close to the heart in the reduced and primitive world of consumerism. The cover uses the interior of an old tram trolley and a scanned kilogram of meat. Electric wires connected to the meat are to suggest how much the sphere of human feelings is taken over and controlled by technology. The opening, tripartite cover of the album contains all the lyrics in Polish and English. | |
