| Description : | Uwaga! is the second release by Italian Rome-based trio Squartet, formed in 2004 and featuring Manlio Maresca (guitar), Fabiano Marcucci (bass) and Marco Di Gasbarro (drums). Following their debut album from 2005, Uwaga! finally express the band's studio potential. Born from punk, corrupted by funk, de-evolved into noise, with a taste for jazz, Squartet's music derives from a wide array of influences (from Wes Montgomery to Charles Mingus, Snakefinger, Fred Frith and Meshuggah, just to name but a few) but then developing a strong, recognizable and destructured own style that leaves the audience claiming for more. | |
