| Description : | this is the first album of Leon Collignon who decided to play guitar in the mid 5o’s when he heard a guy called Georges Brassens…he gave a lot of concerts in the early 6o’s much more influenced by the Shadows,the Beatles,Leonard Cohen,Tom Paxton,Graeme Allwright…now after years he became a sage man and the early influences are back…this is a 14 song album in Georges Brassens/Jacques Brel/Felix Leclerc realm…he plays the great rhythm guitar and he’s backed by a powerful bass player and a subdued gypsy sounding acoustic lead guitarist… the songs are a nice mixture of melodic french folk ala Georges Brassens,scorched lyrics in Brel’s vein full of humours, anarchy,and protest against Society,Church and Power… | |
