 | LANE, FRED Icepick To The Moon: A Documentary Label : Beef Platter Year : 2020 Format : DVD Style : Experimental Availability : In stock Price : 37.10 € - BUY | |
| Description : | Directed by SKIZZ CYZYK
Rev. Fred Lane, the pants-less, stripmine crooner with Band Aids on his face, is described by his obsessed fans as 'subversive', 'completely satirical', 'the Dada Duke Ellington', and 'Demon Frank Sinatra'. His fans have spent years examining every detail of Fred Lane's albums, and yet whatever information they have found out about their hero has only led them deeper into blissful confusion. This award-winning documentary, 19 years-in-the-making, not only examines the cult of Fred Lane fans, but also pulls the curtain back on the mysterious artist who is Fred Lane, from his early involvement in the Seventies with Alabama's wild, countercultural Raudelunas arts collective, to his current occupation making whirligigs to sell on the juried arts and crafts show circuit. DVD special features include complete short films (THE FRENCH TOAST MAN and ALFRED JARRY & 'PATAPHYSICS), deleted scenes, trailer, audio commentary recorded in front of a live audience for The Projection Booth Podcast, and subtitles in English and Pig Latin! | |
