 | V/A Psychic Graveyard / USA Nails Label : Skin Graft Records Year : 2022 Format : CD Style : Rock Availability : In stock Price : 14.40 € - BUY | |
| Description : | The 'in-nam e only' U nited States and K ing dom 's divisions are more raw and splintered than ever before. And it's from this place of division that the USA's PSYCHIC G RAVEYARD
and SK iN G RAFT Records have joined with the UK's U SA NAILS and BOX Records to form 'Split'.
Having been remixed by the likes of M STRKRFT, LIARS and SECRET FU N CLU B, Ps ychic G raveyard are no strangers to collaboration. Here they determinedly ease layer upon cacophonous layer to their methodically set stage before burning it to the ground. As with their previous full lengths, the songs were recorded with Seth M anches ter at M achines W ith M ag nets in Pawtucket. The six cuts served up by slabby noise-rock / angular post-punk / dissonant no-wave cognoscenti U SA Nails feature notes that work, notes that don't work, wonky out of tune ping-pong guitars, dumb business riffs, and shitty guitar solos while musing over clinically medicated anxiety, internet commentators and Orwellian data practices. Although he didn't realize it at the time, drummer Tom Brew ins broke his arm just before the band recorded with W ayne Adam s at Bear Bites Hors e in London. He g ot better, bu t m aybe the res t of u s w on't. | |
