The Mighty Progerians / OMSQ : Vertigo Split EP

Label : Antée Records
Year : 2013
Format : 10in
Style : Rock
Availability : In stock

Price : 10.40 € - BUY
Description :Vertigo is a joint effort of Brussels-based bands The Progerians and OMSQ.

On the A-side, The Progerians gather their stoner and punk rock influences in three explosive tracks. The three-piece delivers its in-your-face riffs, loud but yet melodic vocals and aggressive drums. Jean Paul Lossignol's trumpet (from Belgian legendary rock stars PPz30) brings The Progerians' music to another dimension.

The B-side consists of one single instrumental track by OMSQ. The band creates a multi-layer journey through space rock patterns, psychedelic variations on a theme and heavy-as-hell sludge guitars. The narrative grid of the song follows the path of total disillusion, referring to quotes by American novelist Paul Auster. On this record, OMSQ were honoured to collaborate with Bruce Ellison (also from PPz30) and free jazz saxophonist Ludovic Jeanmart.

It is the third production of Brussels DIY label Antée Records. It comes in a 10in vinyl format, limited to 300 copies, all hand-numbered. Previous releases (Shkval's first LP and Shkval / OMSQ split EP) are still available at Mandai.
