| Description : | Difficult to pinpoint exactly when 4tRECk actually started. Perhaps, in earnest, when Sam Callow, got his hands on a 4track tape machine over 14 years ago at the age of 15.
Sam Callow played the guitar in the now defunct group Mariachi, whose un-godly guitar, voice, bass and drums organized racket drew comparisons to Polvo or Joy Division. During the time spent in Mariachi, the 4 track recording process became much more honed and experimental, and in using the machine way beyond its capabilities, the constantly evolving and exploratory 4tRECk sound was created - as a kind of imaginary one-man-band. | |
