| Description : | The CHICAGO UNDERGROUND DUO was founded in 1997 by Rob Mazurek and Chad Taylor and have seven albums out. For their eighth album and to celebrate their 20th year, they've recorded this new album with two English musicians, as CHICAGO / LONDON UNDERGROUND, whereby the contemporary American and British, plugged-in jazz undergrounds meet! Trumpeter, electronic musician and avant-garde force ROB MAZUREK is in the forefront of the wave of modern jazz and modern creative music in today's electronic age. He has been featured on the cover of The Wire and extensively in a large DownBeat feature on him just last year. Rob has recorded with high profile artists such as Tortoise, Jim O'Rourke, Stereolab, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, as well as his many own projects. The Chicago Underground Duo, and the 20 year landmark partnership/brotherhood with Chad Taylor, has remained his sonic bedrock and a vehicle for the tandem's most impassioned expression.
