 | DEUS EX MACHINA Devoto Label : Cuneiform Records Year : 2016 Format : CD Style : Rock Availability : In stock Price : 14.70 € - BUY | |
| Description : | '...lyrical, provoking and genre-pushing...one of the most extraordinary bands in the entire music universe.' – AllMusic Guide 'Extremely tight, lots of texture and dynamic shifts and flawless acrobatic vocals...by one of the genre's best...' – Icon DEVOTED ('Devoted') is the ninth album by Italy's DEUS EX MACHINA in a 30 year-long career. Founded in 1985 and bursting out of Bologna with their initial release in 1991, by the time they released their second, self-titled album in 1993, the group's line-up was exactly the same as it is today! Featuring the powerful and soaring vocals of Alberto Piras, the band is a unique blend of classic hard rock and avant-garde tendencies, having a big, heavy sound (not 'crunchy' but 'heavy') that is as equally influenced by Led Zeppelin as the Mahavishnu Orchestra. No one else sounds like Deus Ex Machina. ALBERTO PIRAS – vocals / MAURO COLLINA – electric and acoustic guitars / LUIGI RICCIARDIELLO – Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes piano and analog synthesizers / ALESSANDRO BONETTI – violin and mandolin / ALESSANDRO PORRECA – electric bass / CLAUDIO TROTTA – drums | |
