| | | | Description : | Larval is an ever changing lineup of some of the best musicians in Detroit. Led by composer Bill Brovold, it is an amalgamation of styles and approaches to music, from quiet and thoughtful passages to an aggressive onslaught of screaming horns, guitars and assorted strings. Bill Brovold studied painting of the School of
Visual Arts in NYC and received his degree in 1982. While there he was making music (and sounds) for film makers and performance artists. in 1983 he joined the ensemble of experimental/no-wave legend Rhys Chatham as guitarist and stayed on until 1988. In 1994 he moved to the Detroit area, where he formed Larval He is still active in the making of visual arts, and continues making art and exhibiting around the country as well as making music for film makers and dancers.
