| Description : | Music for Dance is an album created from material intended for the performance >> Game I. Time of the Polish Dance Theatre. It is the choreographic debut of the dancer at the time, and currently the director of the Poznań PTT. After many meetings, many hours of material are created, from which a total of 30 minutes of musical fragments are selected. From these fragments, in cooperation with the initiator of the performance, a coherent musical story is created. Only after composing the music does Iwona Pasińska begin work on the choreography of the performance. The album Music for Dance contains several fragments intended for the performance, but mainly consists of unused compositions. The music is performed on electronically processed percussion instruments and keyboards. All instruments and microphones are passed through stereophonic guitar effects. An interesting instrument is something between a trigger and a contact microphone. It is a specially rebuilt electronic children's drum kit. Its pads are attached directly to the drum hoops. The impact or vibration of the head is aroused by the pads of samples obtained using the midi system directly from the mini keyboard. This creates the possibility of mixing the sounds of acoustic drums with, for example, a piano in equal unison. The album also features sounds of elements of the art studio, such as the work of a cutting plotter or chains from an industrial gate. The cover uses fragments of Izabela Rybacka's painting 'Druga Nóżka' '91. The opening, tripartite cover of the album contains all the texts in Polish and English. | |
