| Description : | Time for Flowers is the third title of The Juniper Band in the Suiteside catalogue. This is a good enough explanation for the great attention and care we put on its birth. We walked with the band, since their first gigs, on one path full of troubles (keyboardist Alessandro Cavalli and Gianluca Lucchini - bass and voice - left after the recording of the album) but of enthusiasm too, with always new ideas to be nurtured. And we've always believed in the magic they can bring out of their instruments. Time for Flowers is a long way their most accomplished work, the best result of a process begun at the end of 2001 with the EP ...of debris and daylong dreams, that brought to the band lots of devoted fans. Time for Flowers has found again the freshness of...of debris, that kind of immediacy maybe less evident in the first album, Secrets of Summer. Anyway, SOS has been a lesson too, teaching to the band how to look for uncommon arrangements, how to forge the sounds - always in the classic song shapes - with unusual solutions, it may be a guitar played with a viola arch or a vocoder. Time for Flowers is a solid, resolute album, but full of passion and passionate. And it speaks to the heart. | |
