DESCRIPTION |
| | CREATURE WITH THE ATOMBRAIN Kill The Snake Label : Conspiracy Records Year : 2005 Format : LP Style : Punk / Rock Availability : Out of stock
| | | | Description : | This is the second and last installment of limited Creature With The Atom Brain 12 inches before their debut cd will be launched on the innocent unexpecting public. Creature With The Atom Brain is fascinated by the aesthetic possibilities of 'damaging' pop melodies with strange noise and sound processing. Setting off spastic, clattering rhythmic explosions with stridently barked vocals, wonderfully thin razor-edged guitar, nervous low-end rattling machine-gun percussion, sudden time changes and not-quite-linear song structures help make this abrasive din all the more intriguing. Displaying an appreciation for junk noise and off-kilter song structures Creature With The Atom Brain's melodic sensibilities tend to be shaped by the soaring pop of '60s and '70s bands like the largely forgotten but utterly fabulous garage bands like 13th Floor Elevators. Creature With the Atombrain take that style and raise the stakes for the post-punk age, amping up the raw power and nihilistic energy.
