| | | | | Description : | This album concludes a ten-year long collaborative project between polish sound artist and composer Zbigniew Karkoski and Japanese noise monger Tetsuo Furudate. As if those two weren't sufficiently riotous n their own, renowned avant-garde ensemble Zeitkratzer get involved too, meaning this a pretty comprehensive electroacoustic assault on the senses. The introductory piece 'Mergence' features groans into life with a few sub-drones, ratcheting up the tension to the point of noisy release halfway through, only for that in itself to die away to almost nothing, leaving the barest of rumbles to re-gather a clanging impetus in the ebbing moments. The sudden switches between quiet and loud bring to mind some of Francisco Lopez's more extreme dynamics - it's a fine start and an excellent way to invest twenty-five minutes of your time. Next comes the less obviously sophisticated feedback hum of 'Below The Demarcation', which takes us into more conventional drone terrain, only for the extreme acoustic punishment of 'Mix White' to re-energise the set for a final noisy bloom.
