| | | | | Description : | The Flat End of the Earth is the debut EP by The Life and Times, and it will be met with fervent anticipation. Brooding and beautiful, sullen yet melodic, The Life and Times concerns itself very much with consonance and the dynamic between what is gentle and what is crushing. Sometimes, they are one in the same, as when The Life and Times soars within a dirge or when Epley’s sweet voice croons atop a whorl of soaring guitars. Six songs of power and majesty, each given a unique texture through the daring recording techniques of Dropsonic's Dan Dixon and subtle musical gestures of Meredith, Epley and Myers. Recorded April 26th – 30th in Atlanta, Georgia at Dave Barbe’s (Sugar) studio with Dixon at the helm, this EP is the first in an outpouring of new material to come from this exciting new band.
