DESCRIPTION |
| | BEAUTIFUL SKIN Everything, All This and More Label : GSL Records Year : 2005 Format : CD Style : Electronic / Punk Availability : Out of stock
| | | | Description : | New York City duo BEAUTIFUL SKIN released their debut album Revolve on GSL in 2000. Formed by the partnership of vocalist/guitarist Nick Forte (ex-RORSCHACH, COMPUTER COUGAR) and meticulous synth player/sonic sculptor Ross Totino, the initial sound of the band was comparable to WIRE, early O.M.D., NEW ORDER, etc. After recruiting 2 more members, the expanded lineup toured the west coast in early 2001 supporting THE LOCUST and DE FACTO and then, unfortunately, disbanded. Many excellent, well-developed tracks recorded at the time with the 4-piece lineup were simply abandoned. Now, GSL is making them available with
unreleased songs from the band's first demo as a duo, as well as the tracks from their debut 7' (GSL23). Completely re-mastered and tuned-up, the material included on Everything, All This, and More combines to form an album of remarkable consistency and sonic depth. Sleeve art by Amy Dresser, who's previous design for Revolve is considered by many to be a classic.
