| Description : | Atomic Paracelze is a avant-rock band from Switzerland built on a particular line-up: violin, fender rhodes, bass, voice and electronics, drums. Therefore no guitarist, but a lot of distortion, electronic sounds, effects appearing out of nowhere. Under the banner of 'no-guitar-avant-rock' the combo play a direct but complex and versatile music, influenced by numerous bands from the rock and metal scenes including Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, The Melvins, Mr. Bungle, Naked City, The Jesus Lizard as well as composers like Edgard Varese, Igor Stravinsky or John Zorn. The years 2008-2009 have been dedicated to composition work, rehearsals and noticed support acts with Sleepytime gorilla museum (US), Kill the thrill (FR), Zu (IT), Unexpect (CA), Monno (DE-CH). This first album, recorded and mixed in the studio La Borde- Basse by Bob Drake, is the result of this two-year common work. | |
